Rennes - Parc des Gayeulles

The parc des Gayeulles is the biggest park of the city of Rennes. It extends over a hundred hectares of forest, green flora and three lakes. Opened in 1978; it allows various outdoor activities; like soccer, squash, tennis, mini-golf and; of course contains several running tracks. There is also a camping place on the area.

How to get there:

The park is situated in the north-eastern area of Rennes; near to the University of Rennes - Beaulieu. Take the metro to Republique and then the bus line 3 to the park. By car, take the N12 route de Fougeres.

There is a free parking lot in the southern part, entrance rue St.Sulpice

The track: The total length shown here is about 1.9km, bringing you back to the departure point. Alternatively, the park has an indicated 3km and 5km track. The topology is flat, all around the lake.

Water point: I didn’t see any water fountains or bars. Maybe in summer it is different.
